My lutes

My Lute & Guitar

8-course lute, lenght 59,5 cm, pitch 440 Hz. Own project.
Kinds of wood used: bowl - cherry; belly - spruce; neck - walnut; fingerboard - rosewood; pegs - "Santa Maria" ("Jacareuba") hardwood.

10-course lute, length 65 cm, pitch 440 Hz. Based on the Renaissance lute after M. Deiffopruchar 1612.

13-course Baroque lute, length 76cm, pitch 415 Hz. An instrument plan after M. Deiffopruchar by R. Lundberg. The original instrument was built by M. Deiffopruchar c. 1600 as a 10-course lute, modified into 13-course Baroque configuration in 1728 in Praque by T. Edlinger.
The lute is made of 7 different kinds of wood: bowl - American maple and mahogany spacers; belly - cedar; neck - American walnut; fingerboard - ebony; pegs - pear.
